This is a 1962 Topps #177 BOBBY SHANTZ card.
Shantz is pictured here in his only appearance as a Houston Colt on a Topps card.

Shantz only spent a brief time with the Houston Colts, but he had a long and successful MLB career. He spent the 1st eight of his 16 seasons with the Philadelphia and Kansas City Athletics, winning the AL MVP award as a pitcher in 1952 when he went 24-7 as a starter, and an ERA title in 1957. One minor surface crease, bottom left. He spent most of his last 7 seasons as a reliever, but still managed 119 wins. he also won the first AL Gold Glove award for pitchers in 1957 and went on to win the Gold Glove in each of his last 8 seasons in MLB.
