This is a 1961 Topps JERY LUMPE card.

Jerry Lumpe was a star infielder from the 1950s and 1960s. Originally with the Yankees from 1955-1959, he was sent to Kansas City for pitcher Ralph Terry in 1959. As an Athletic, he bloomed, playing full time each season there and collecting some MVP votes in 1962 when he hit .301 with 83 RBI.
In 1964 he was shipped to Detroit for Rocky Colavito, and he became an All Star with the Tigers in his first season there. For his career, Lumpe collected over 1300 hits.
