The listing, 1955 Topps All-American GEORGE SAUER rookie card (Packers - Nebraska) has ended.
This is a 1955 Topps All-American #31 card for George Sauer Sr.
This was the first football card for George Sauer Sr. Sauer was an All-American halfback for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in 1933, then played pro football with the Green Bay Packers. After a short career, he became a college football coach, coaching at Kansas, Baylor, Navy, and New Hampshire in his career. He was never commemorated on a card, however, until 1955.
His son George Sauer Jr. played his full NFL career with the New York Jets and was on the 1968 team that won a Super Bowl with Joe Namath and Don Maynard.
This card does have two creases. I'll do my best to capture these in the photos.
