The listing, African Hosta (10 Plants) has ended.

African Hosta (Drimiopsis Lancifolia) or Little White Soldiers. Great in dish gardens, pots or in the ground. Sun or shade. It is a succulent. Neither insects, disease, slugs or snails seem to bother this wonderful plant. Cute flowers in the spring. They start green then turn white. The leaves are lovely. It starts from a bulb. Multiplies fast. The 3rd picture shows some in the ground with the bulb part visible.

How large (height and width) do these normally grow?

Small as hostas go. 10" approx. tall with three to four leaves per plant. Great in dish gardens or in clusters or pots. The more sun, the more spots on leaves.

would they grow in zone 5?

I really can't say. If you have them in a pot that could be moved in of course. Mine have been in the ground for years thru all kinds of weather. However we do not have frozen ground for more than a week or so. Hope this helps. :)
