Please note: We post a postage amount for each auction; you should expect to pay that amount. Please do not ask us for free shipping; if you are going to be upset because we charge shipping, please do not bid. If this sounds "harsh" please read the bad feedbacks posted for me by people who have not listed as many auctions in a year as I have had won in a single day. We ask that when your wins arrive that if there is a problem you contact us so we can solve the problem. Otherwise, please post feedback so we know you got the item; we can then post feedback for you. We prefer postage payment by PayPal (hotsprgs2@aol.com); we do accept checks and USPS stamps. These forms of payment are made to Jay Campbell, 306 Ashland, Hot Springs, Ar 71901. We DO NOT post pictures; it is a time limit thing with us.

Hello hsabooks,

In order to have better results with this auction, please add more details regarding your item. Your auction is missing a description or picture. These two things will go a long way in instilling confidence in potential bidders. We also highly recommend that you include pictures of the actual item that is being auctioned, (not just use stock photos from the manufacturer). For higher valued items, please include a notecard or piece of paper with your Listia username in one of the pictures of the actual item. This will also reduce the number of questions that your bidders will ask, and most importantly, you`ll get the best results with your auction.

Thanks for making these changes and good luck with your auction!

Open my auction "Crock-Pot Cookbook" and see a moderator's answer to all this. I appreciate a straight answer from a modereator explaining why some of us keep getting these canned moderator comments.

Moderator, we have answered this standard form note several times from different ones of you, but here is our answer for you: First, PLEASE tell us exactly what you would like for us to put in the descriptions that we have listed. Our bidders are happy with our descriptions....we rarely get any questions from them about a listing. So tell me, Moderator, what do we need to add to our descriptions of this auction? And this picture thing is absolutely out of line and should be curtailed by Listia; I know that you probably have had some one trying for a flag badge complain because of no picture. I can assure you that my repeat bidders (and there are several) will tell you in terms anyone can understand that they would rather have more auctions posted with good descriptions than to have fewer auctions posted with pictures. And your note about the pictures needing to be of the actual item, don't get me started there! Why don't you take a serious look at ALL the pictures on Listia and see just how many are of The Actual Item!!!??? I can understand the need for pictures for unusual items, and IF we ever start posting the many trash/treasures that are stacked up in our garages I can assure you pictures of The Actual Item will be posted. And I don't want to sound any more conceited than I am, but frankly, Moderator, if I got any more results from my auctions I would not be able to handle it. I have been trying for weeks to get my posted auctions back up to over 100 and at the moment have only 44! Posted a couple tonight, but I should have been wrapping packages to be mailed. Instead, I am answering another form note from a moderator that has been answered to the point that this one is being copied and will be used as MY form note back to the next moderator.
