This large, sturdy and stylish Recollections Signature tote bag from Michael's Crafts has reinforced straps. 15" x 9" x 6". It would make an excellent knitting bag, recycled grocery bag, the sky is the limit! I've used it only once to carry some bulky and odd shaped items to a craft fair and it stood up extremely well and was not damaged in any way. It is made of the same light-weight canvas that many outdoor objects are.

It does have Velcro squares in three places along the top. It would be easy to sew in a snap if you wanted to.
